'Little Miss Sunshine' Abigail Breslin will be playing Helen Keller in an upcoming Broadway production next year. Now as we all now, Helen Keller is a real story portrayed in 'The Miracle Worker.' This is the true story of a young girl born blind and deaf and how Annie Sullivan, her amazing teacher, teaches her how to communicate with the world. I am a fan of 'Little Miss Sunshine' and this would be a perfect part for her; 'The Miracle Worker' is an amazing story.

A young singer dies by coyote attack
A young Canadian folk singer who just started her solo tour dies after being attacked by coyotes in Nova Scotia Park. At the tender age of 19, Taylor Mitchell had a promising career as a singer but ended sadly today. What makes this story even sadder is that the coyotes continued to feed on her until help came minutes later. When police got to the scene, Mitchell had several bite wounds all over her body and bled to death. This story is not only baffling but unheard of. This is first time a brutal attack like this happened in broad daylight and took the life of a human in this park.

Dutch model painted Black
Dutch model Lara Stone is featured in the current issue of French Vogue. The sexy and controversial issue celebrates supermodels, people of color are not included. Steven Klien paints a Dutch model Black in this isssue...sorta strange right? After browsing the web, that seems to be the average opinion. The fashion industry tends to exclude people of color and this is just another example. I was looking for Noami Campbell in this issue. The pictures are hot, some are disturbing. I found this picture below online and thought it was pretty much the same thing. Not too appealing, especially when marketing a product.

Levi to pose nude for Playgirl
Levi Johnston ladies and gentleman, is about to turn a new leaf, by ALL MEANS.
At the tender age of 19, Johnston has been training 6 nights a week for 3 hours a day for his close up in Playgirl magazine. Many, like myself are shocked especially with him coming out of the Palin family. Sarah Palin just released a new book,Going Rogue: An American Life, and rumored to be running for presidential office in 2012. Johnston's modeling career may not go too well for Palin. Even though this magazine deal is not yet sealed, Johnston appears to be preparing for it and focusing on his body. All this following the pregnancy of her daughter...could the children be lashing out for some reason? Or is all this typical Palin household shenanigans?

Cali loves pot!
Some of the strongest pot advocates are in California and they are rallying together to get Pot legal, making Cali the first state in the Nation to legalize Pot.
Currently advocates are collecting signatures for pot legalization for the 2010 ballot. On one poll, it did show that voters would support lifting the pot band in California. Are we headed for a new horizon? What will be the backlash if pot were to be legalized? What about these religious lobbyist that invest in political and corporation interest across the nation? I am not sure how far this could go.

As of today, you can smoke pot and be legal as long as it is for 'medical' purposes. In order to qualify for this, you have to go to a doctor and answer some simple, general questions and the health department issues you a 'Pot' card. One of the questions are, do you have trouble sleeping? The questions are so general and broad, ANYONE could probably get a 'pot' card. There are currently stores, vendors and business dealing pot in California and the state is making millions on taxing it. During this time of recession, many states could look at this as a way out.
While the state of California seems to want to loosen pot regulations, the Federal Government is pulling in the opposite direction and want to crack down even on those who use it for 'medical' purposes. One state proposal is a single person can possess up to one ounce of pot for personal use by adults 21 and older. Currently, Cali only fines at most $100 for this...in NY or Philadelphia, you would be arrested and put under the jail. So it's plain to see that California is already lenient when it comes to pot.

I'll Be Home For Christmas!
Actress and artist Jennifer Hudson just returned to her hometown in Chicago to film a ABC prime Christmas special, "I'll Be Home For Christmas." This program is set to air sometime in December of this year. According to ABC, the star is not only sharing her childhood memories but the music, people and the places that are closest and most special to her. With the recent death of her family members only one year ago, I can only imagine the emotional roller-coasters while filming, but I know she is ready for this and the special will turn out to be great.

A superwomen in the flesh
The 12 time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys has obviously established herself as a recording artist. This year the star is launching AK Worldwide, a new company founded under Keys that would host all of her international and humanistic projects. We have heard of Alicia going over seas to Africa and giving back, but she is about to take it to another level with AK Worldwide.
"It really explores the ways I can affect the world in a positive way, even outside of music...It is really about finding ways to bring forth things into the world that will give you and all the people that encounter them, and myself, inspiration." Alicia Keys.
Along with this project comes a brand new website, iamasuperwomen.com which spotlights phenomenal women all around the world and the causes which they fight for. She really is starting to remind me a lot of Angelina Jolie or Oprah...speaking of which, Keys quoted in an interview that the thing that she loved about Oprah is her ability to bring change into peoples lives and be apart of people's lives in a meaningful way. Go Alicia!

What's happening to Mimi?
The highly anticipated album, at least by me, has not been bringing in the same numbers her last album, E=MC2, brought in. Almost a 70 percent drop, from 460K (E=MC2) to 170K for the new album. My opinion is this album is better than the last, so that's shocking. Madonna has had no PR promotion hardly for her new album and her first week projected sales were 90k. What is wrong with this picture? Many critics criticized Obsessed for it's bubble gum high-school girl lyrics and Mariah's provocative looks, like for her last video Touch My Body.
But are we really surprised? Over the years we have watched Mariah grow and get older but not really if you know what I mean. Other than that, Mariah's voice is just not the same. I have seen many live performances that were too hard to get through. Especially because when it came to live performers, Mariah was always on top! She has now resorted to whispering, low octaves and high harmonizing. We true fans have long wanted her PR people to start promoting her as a true Diva, not someone trying to compete with Britany Spears or Beyonce. Mariah should have her own category.

Matthew Knowles caught cheating?
Researching Matthew Knowles, all that comes up is all this news about SCANDAL. Knowles is a wonderful producer, entrepreneur, and Father, as we know him. But could there be another side? And we all know in the world of entertainment, everything is not what it's cracked up to be. We often hear this types of things about Beyonce ie when it comes to her age or being very private of her personal life. Though, that doesn't bother me as much, I would be private too, so I don't know what the fuss is all about.
